Leisure time? Skill shortages in UK hospitality and tourism industry

The Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS) commissioned Economic Insight to describe the key workforce features and attributes of the Hospitality and Tourism sector. We have used a mixed methodology approach to better understand the Hospitality and Tourism workforce, including analysis of skills deficits and locations, as well as stakeholder interviews.

 

Our research provides a comprehensive data analysis of the workforce and existing sector skills in the UK. Our findings will be used to drive future policy development and support the work of the Hospitality and Tourism Skills Board.
