Aastha Mantri

Aastha Mantri is a Director at Economic Insight, specialising in merger control and competition investigations.  She leads our work on UK, EU and multi-jurisdictional transactions, advising on theories of harm, supporting evidence and remedy design.  She has recently been appointed as an advisor to the CMA.

Aastha has advised on several high-profile mergers, including Bayer/Monsanto, LSE / Deutsche Börse, Baker Hughes / Halliburton and Tobii/Smartbox.  She also provides expert evidence before courts, meaning she understands how to build economic arguments that stand up to scrutiny.

She is known for providing clear advice in fast-moving situations and has a reputation for effective engagement with competition authorities.  Her focus is on working with legal teams to deliver practical advice that helps clients address competition authority concerns.
