Dr Luke Garrod

Dr Luke Garrod is an Associate at Economic Insight and a Senior Lecturer in Economics at Loughborough University.
Luke’s research uses advanced game theoretic techniques to model the incentives of firms, with the aim of explaining real-world business behaviour and improving competition and consumer protection policy.
He has explored how cartels in the supply of goods or services can harm, not only customers and downstream businesses, but also other suppliers whose products or services complement those being cartelised.
Prior to his current position at Loughborough University, Luke was a Post Doctoral Fellow at the University of East Anglia’s Centre for Competition Policy.
